Raised in a pastor’s home but drawn to skateboarding, hardcore music, and underground culture, Trevor learned early that following Jesus doesn’t mean staying inside the lines. He found some of the people who needed hope most in the very places Christians might be tempted to avoid.
Instead of walking away, he went closer.
That passion became a calling: to meet people where they are, love them well, and point them to Jesus.
Trevor went on to get a bachelors degree in youth Ministry and become an ordained general evangelist through the Wesleyan church. In 2009 he was picked up as the professional skateboarder and key note speaker for an international touring action sports team called Enemy Opposition where he became active in touring, putting on skateboard demos and preaching to the lost by the masses. In 2010 Trevor founded xSTAYTRUEx Ministries where he traveled the country and parts of the world preaching the gospel and motivating students in schools. This ministries appeal was through Trevor’s incredible gift of communicating to audiences of any size and any background. But another appeal was Beatbox performances and skateboard demos.
You don’t have to fit the mold to follow Jesus.
In 2013 Trevor married his beautiful wife, Kaitlyn Heyd and they began traveling together. Kaitlyn even had a powerful blog ministry called anevangelistswife.com (no longer active) that reached people with her powerful writings and profound thoughts through real life situations scripture studies. Together Trevor and Kaitlyn began to speak at events together. They also had 3 amazing sons together and had a passionate mission to raise them up in the Lord as they continued in their ministries.
As a company, Enemy Opposition retired in 2014 and Trevor was immediately picked up as the Professional skateboarder for Wisdom Skateboard’s, a Florida based team that had a strong mission to reached the skateboard community with the gospel. Wisdom Skateboards lead Trevor through a featured pro tour where Trevor was the highlighted pro and key note speaker for skate demos at skateparks throughout central Florida.
In 2020 Trevor wrote his book, GOD VIBES, as a discipleship tool to continue to impact his audience after leaving events. Everyone is seeking Good Vibes but everything that is good comes from the Lord. What are soul is truly seeking is GOD VIBES. Covering over specific topics, GOD VIBES teaches through the kind of things Trevor noticed were more absent when he was a new believer. The book is written in his style for those who need deeper topics taught in a down to earth way. Whether you are new to the faith or have been a Christian for multiple years, GOD VIBES will challenge your faith and stir you to take action.
Throughout the years, Trevor’s consistency in ministry has lead him to share platforms with some of the biggest names in Christian music, be main features on TV shows and radio stations that reach multiple countries and millions of viewers and still love his very neighbor with just as much passion. Whether it’s a small town church or youth group, local skatepark outreach, laser focused conference, local school assembly or major music festival, Trevor brings the same energy and dynamic character to deliver a passionate message that will leave the audience greatly impacted.
Throughout the years, Trevor has managed skatepark/youth centers and pastors at churches but his heart has always been heavily focused on reaching the lost exactly as they are. In December of 2024, Trevor’s beloved wife Kaitlyn was horrifically attacked by an extremely rare and aggressive liver disease. After a surprise 29 day hospital battle, she passed away leaving Trevor to raise their three boys. His joy? To fulfill the lifestyle he and his wife created for their household, raising their boys in ministry and growing them to be strong men of integrity, loving the Lord. Trevor is a walking testimony that through trials and tribulations, God almighty has lead him through and allowed him to endure the hardships of life giving all glory to Him in the midst of the flames. His passion for Jesus is un-ignorable and extremely contagious. He continues to move forward by staying true to God by staying true to who God has made him to be.
